Katie HannKatie Hann will soon graduate from the Textile & Apparel Design program at the College of the North Atlantic,
and is a juried member of the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador. Katie's interest in sewing and crochet began during the Covid 19 pandemic. She started making face masks to help meet the demand for quality designed masks. She sold hundreds of face masks online through Facebook and Etsy via her newly established KatieLiz Studio. Her masks, known for their meticulous handiwork and two ply design as well as bold-coloured and fun-themed fabrics, sold throughout Canada and the United States. Katie, who has since expanded her interests and techniques, creates unique pieces using natural fibers such as wool, linen, and cotton, through knit, crochet, felt, and apparel. Katie's overall vision for her apparel is to create pieces that are size and body inclusive. She hopes that her clients will feel happy and confident when they wear the pieces that she has created and enjoy them to the fullest. |
