As a textile artist, I work mostly in loom weaving and apparel construction. In my work I combine both of my studio areas by making fabric on the loom to use in my fashion line. My line consists of many patterns and fabrics including cotton, denim, polyester blends and a combination of knits and weaves. My palette includes mainly blues, greens and black and white. I tend to go for these colors as I am inspired by the colors of nature as well as the high contrast between black and white and bold patterns created with the use of line and shape. This line was inspired by my own clothing style as well as street style from the late 90's and modern street style inspired by magazines. I learned to love loom weaving from my time in school and was able to expand upon my sewing knowledge as well.
