Gurpreet Kaur was born in 1992 in the small town of Fateghar sahib, Punjab, India. In 2016 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Desh Bhagat University. She worked as a nurse at Kakar hospital for 2 years and enjoyed the good work of serving humanity, and provided free health care to needy people.
Two years later, she decided to move to Canada to further her study. In 2019, Gurpreet changed her career path and enrolled in the Textile & Apparel Design program. She found that this art course was very interesting and joyful. This study is full of colour rather than pain and sorrow. She learned many techniques such as embroidery, rug hooking, needle felting, drawing and design.
Gurpreet enjoys her time exploring the colourful expressions of textiles.
